Core Planning

Core planning

Initial Fees

A basic fee of £1,000, with additional costs based on the number of policies or investments being reviewed or researched.

We’ll pull everything together into a clear, detailed report that brings your financial plan to life. It takes into account your risk profile, savings, investments and protection policies, and how well they’re all working for you right now. We’ll also highlight any gaps or issues, and look at where the funding for any changes might come from.

The report will recommend a comprehensive list of any policies, plans, or changes that need to be made to meet your objectives. It will also include an updated version of the cashflow forecast to show your position after the implementation of the recommendations.

Ongoing charges

The ongoing charges for our Core Planning service are based on the number of hours we expect to spend working on the above services on your behalf. This is calculated based on an hourly rate of £150 per hour.

However, this can be adjusted if the standard complexity levels don’t fit with your exact circumstances. We’ll review this charge annually to ensure it’s still suitable, but bear in mind that it may be amended if the complexity of your circumstances change.

The service includes:

  • Annual planning meeting with your adviser
  • Full review of your financial plan, including up-to-date cash flow models and issuance of updated financial plans
  • Review and assessment of your financial circumstances and suitability of your arrangements
  • Online access to investment valuations
  • Liaison with your other professional advisers as required
  • Access to your adviser and/or support team at any time between planning meetings
  • Top-ups, withdrawals (excluding pensions), or amendments to regular contributions or withdrawals

As an example…

A typical Core Planning client is likely to need between 6 and 8 hours of work. At £150 an hour, this would equate to between £900 and £1,200.

What trust looks like to our clients

Andy

It is a real weight off our minds to know that someone who knows what they are talking about is looking after the financial side of things. Tom’s encouragement that we can afford to take lots of holidays is a big win!

Working with Tom has given me confidence in investing, and I'm very happy with the performance of his recommendations. Instead of feeling lost or daunted I am supported and confident. You can't put a price on that.

Jonathan

Tom firstly helped me vocalise what my goals were and then reviewed my portfolio. He provided expert advice on where I could maximise my investments and put it in terms I could understand.
